aerial hoop
Hoop 0 (beginner)
This introductory hoop class is designed for absolute beginners with no fitness background required. There is no need to tone up or take any fitness classes before starting this class, as we will work on everything you need in this class and have fun at the same time!
In this level, you will learn the fundamentals of aerial hoop techniques and strength building. You will learn basic grips, shapes and moves – tricks in this level will include double/single leg hang, man in the moon and delilah. This class will provide you with all the skills you need to move onto Hoop Level 1. We recommend attending Hoop 0 until you are comfortable with inverting – however, you may take this class for as many times as you want until you feel ready to progress to the next level.
Prerequisites for this class: no prerequisites
Hoop 1 (pre-intermediate)
This class is for beginners who are very comfortable performing aerial invert. Students must have successfully completed Hoop 0, or had previous experience with aerials.
During this level you will learn different shapes, tricks and spinning techniques - this will include hip rolls, feet hang and shoulder/chest stand. The primary goal is to help you gain the strength, conditioning, and mechanics for more advanced moves in the next level.
